Jio Platforms’ Rs 30,188 cr IPO has attracted institutional bids worth around Rs 2.5 lakh cr, more than 30 times the size of its anchor book. Mumbai: Jio Platforms has received bids from more than 70 institutional investors, potentially giving its Rs 30,188 crore initial public offering (IPO) one of the largest anchor investor lists globally. Large foreign funds, sovereign wealth funds and domestic institutions have shown interest in buying $750 million to more than $1 billion worth of Jio Platforms shares each, far exceeding the allocations available in its roughly $854 million IPO anchor book, according to sources. Bankers are expected to balance sizable allocations to major institutions with smaller allotments to a wider pool of investors. Most top-tier funds could receive shares worth Rs 400-450 crore each, while smaller allocations could range from Rs 10-20 crore. “We are seeing an aggregate institutional demand of about Rs 2.5 lakh crore, more than 30 times the anchor book’s size. This is the first time institutional demand for an Indian IPO has crossed that level,” one the bankers said. Global asset managers participating include BlackRock, Capital Group, Fidelity, T. Rowe Price, Schroders, JPMorgan Asset Management, Franklin Templeton, Invesco and Janus Henderson. Live Events Sovereign investors and state-backed investment managers in the book include GIC , the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, the Qatar Investment Authority and Norges Bank Investment Management. Demand also came from all of India’s top 10 mutual funds including SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund and Kotak Mutual Fund. Insurance and pension investors include LIC , HDFC Life , SBI Life , SBI Pension, HDFC Pension and ICICI Prudential. Foreign funds pursuing long-term investments, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds accounted for the bulk of demand, according to the details. “Some long-term investors may buy additional shares in the open market after listing, given the limited allocations in the anchor book,” one source said. The IPO of Jio Platforms, the digital and telecom arm of billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries , will surpass Hyundai Motor India’s Rs 27,859 crore offering in 2024, which currently holds the record for India’s biggest IPO. Last month, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) launched a Rs 22,562-crore IPO. The Jio Platforms issue will open for subscription on Oct 21 and close on Oct 23. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of up to 270 million equity shares, with no offer-for-sale (OFS) component. The company has reserved shares worth up to Rs 2,500 crore for eligible Reliance Industries shareholders and up to Rs 500 crore for eligible employees. .Pbanner{display:flex;justify-content:space-between;align-items:center;background-color:#ec1c40;margin-top:20px;padding:5px 10px;border-radius:4px;color:#fff;line-height:10px;width: 100%;box-sizing: border-box} .Pbannertext{display:flex;align-items:center;font-size:16px;font-weight:600;font-family:'Montserrat';} .Pbannertext img{height:20px;margin:0 6px} .Pbannerbutton a{display:flex;align-items:center;background-color:#fff;color:#ec1c40;text-decoration:none;font-weight:600;padding:4px 8px;border-radius:6px;font-size:15px;font-family:'Montserrat';} .Pbannerbutton img{height:20px;margin-right:6px} .Pbannerbutton a:hover{background-color:#f7f7f7} Add as a Reliable and Trusted News Source Add Now! Robert Godinho has been appointed as Co-Founder of Spectacom Global, which organizes participative sports events in India. His experience in media and technology will be instrumental in expanding the company's reach. View More
NEW DELHI: Spectacom Global , on Monday, announced that Robert Godinho has joined as Co-Founder. Godinho, who most recently served as Managing Director at Monks ( Media.Monks ) India, comes on board to help build Spectacom's next chapter in participative sports . Over a career spanning television, film and technology, he founded the creative studio WhiteBalance, which merged with S4 Capital’s Media.Monks in 2020. Godinho said in a statement, “There is nothing more exhilarating than seeing ordinary people achieving extraordinary feats. When you open up the question from ‘are you good enough to compete?’ to ‘would you like to participate?’, your addressable audience changes multifold and so does a brand's communication strategy. While participative sport may be appointment-led, the community itself is always on. This is no longer a date in the calendar but the maturing of an ecosystem. What drew me to Spectacom is that they are the GOATs in this space. With over 14 years of experience and more than 500,000 participants, they have built a depth of understanding and credibility that is incredibly hard to replicate.” Adnan Adeeb , Founder, Spectacom Global, said in a statement, "Making a real impact isn't about chasing big wins, it's about building a healthier community that shows up for each other again and again. Our objective is to facilitate this journey to being your best self. Robert gets that in his bones. He's a builder who cares as much about the craft and the culture as the outcome. Bringing an ex-founder in as a co-founder is us doubling down on the ambition to make participative sport a way of life in India." Zeba Zaidi , Co-Founder, Spectacom Global, said in a statement, "Everything we make is built around one question: ‘How do you make the experience extra special and difficult to recreate’. We give people a year of reasons to show up, moments to remember, people to meet, goals to chase and stories to tell, all culminating in one unforgettable day when they get to celebrate how far they’ve come. Robert brings the systems and storytelling muscle to enhance the story telling narrative and amplify those moments to millions more, without ever losing what makes them personal as we intend to scale globally." .Pbanner{display:flex;justify-content:space-between;align-items:center;background-color:#ec1c40;margin-top:20px;padding:5px 10px;border-radius:4px;color:#fff;line-height:10px;width: 100%;box-sizing: border-box} .Pbannertext{display:flex;align-items:center;font-size:16px;font-weight:600;font-family:'Montserrat';} .Pbannertext img{height:20px;margin:0 6px} .Pbannerbutton a{display:flex;align-items:center;background-color:#fff;color:#ec1c40;text-decoration:none;font-weight:600;padding:4px 8px;border-radius:6px;font-size:15px;font-family:'Montserrat';} .Pbannerbutton img{height:20px;margin-right:6px} .Pbannerbutton a:hover{background-color:#f7f7f7} Add as a Reliable and Trusted News Source Add Now!
